"Moon what did you do to him?!" Menja demanded, looking at what was once the necromancer's protégé with a mix of disgust and horror. The skydancer hung their head and remained silent, refusing to look at their...mistake. One of the Emperor's many paws lashed out towards them, then broke because of Fenja's barrier surrounding it. It didn't even scream in pain. It only tried harder to escape.

Fenja looked like she was going to vomit, the barrier wavering for several seconds. Finally, it stabilized, but Fenja stubbornly refused to look directly at it.

Moon gulped. "I...I can try to fix-" Menja viciously slapped them on the head, the force knocking them down. "No!" she roared, "You've done enough!"

Menja then paced around for a time, trying hard to ignore the Emperor's screams. It was hard though, when some of them almost sounded like a desperate plea, then an accusing roar. She could've sworn she heard a scared, gentle voice call out "Menja, help me!"

Moon cautiously stood up, ignoring the pain in their head. They looked towards what had once been Azra, carefully looking them over. His familiar had been with him when...it happened, and Azra was too young to have a large reserve yet. Even his newly-acquired parts had very little magic remaining in them. They were the bones of imperials, yes, but they had very little magic remaining in them. So the only thing that could...there it was!

Right where Azra's heart would've been, there was a bright glow.
