AURA HEALER SPOTIFY • YOUTUBE Aura was born and raised in a clan of healers. Not just any clan of healers, but the most renowned throughout the lands. They had no competition, they could cure anything. Rumors even said the very best in the clan could cure death itself. But it had a reputation to maintain, and it was not an easy life for those who were not qualified enough. Even from an early age they were forced into healing, cramming as much as they could into their brains. because, on the day they are marked an adult they had to take a test of Passing. If they were not up to scratch, they were banished from the clan forever, left to fend for themselves in the woods. Even from an early age it was clear that Aura struggled. He could not grasp the concepts those younger than him knew fluently, and failed to make spells to heal the simplest of things. he was a complete failure, a disgrace to his parents. They would speak to him tersely, showing no sign of affection. It did not take a genius to know they felt nothing for their disappointment of a son. He had no friends during his childhood. All the others would laugh at him, calling him a 'dirty bruise healer', their name for the simplest of healers, who by this clan's standards were nothing but dirt. As he came closer to being an adult, he only studied harder. He'd spend entire days locked in his den, figuring out new concoctions, and spells. he even managed to find a potion that cured a dangerous disease no one else in the clan had even the faintest idea on how to treat. However, the clan members became suspicious. Returning to his den one day after classes, he noticed his den had been disturbed. And things were missing. His potions, his books, everything. He ran outside, to find out that one of the member's sons had 'found the cure' for the dangerous disease. Aura was heartbroken. His once chance at proving his worth, gone. No one would believe he had found the cure, he was ruined. So when it was time for his test, he didn't even try. he knew his fate, he knew he was going to fail, no matter what. So fail he did, and banished he was. He searched the Icefields for a warm place to stay, but there was none. he was alone there. So he went further afield. He found the forges too hot, and the thousand seas too wet. But the Tangled Woods felt nice. Cool, and dark, like the many days he had spent in his den. It was not long before he stumbled across a small fae, a mirror, and a young imperial. He mused about his wasted skills, and how pathetic he was, not knowing that his skills far exceed those of most normal dragons. The three laughed as he talked about how terrible he was at healing, and invited him into their clan. Aura was confused, but accepted, and found a home in The Secrets. ~~~~~ Aura is a kind, gentlemanly dragon, who always means well. He can be socially awkward in large groups, but can handle himself well in smaller ones. He doesn't like talking too much, unless it is about healing. he can appear grumpy to some, but thats usually because he can be rather impatient, but he tries his best not to show it. he is deathly afraid of rejection, in particular due to his failure. Aura is very close with his mate Aiko. They have a working relationship, a great balance between love and work. Aiko often helps him gather herbs for his potions, being as well learnt on plants as he. Aura's relationship with Mythos is an odd one. At first they loathed each other, about tearing each other's throats out. But slowly they became closer and closer, until they became close friends. They still pick at each other even now, but in a rather more friendly manner. He is rather distant with his son Yagami, and Scarrow tends to ignore him, but he gets along very well with his daughters, Minty and Lilac. He is also very supportive of Queen, and his lifestyle. Aura is the main and best healer in the clan, with his vast knowledge on all things healing. He specialises in potion healing, although is also adept at magical healing. His familiar is a Sakura Owl, creatively named Sakura. She is quite grumpy and bitey, and nips on dragons' tails when they aren't looking, including Aura. She is however a loyal worker for him, helping gather herbs and other materials needed. Aura is not one for battle. His gangly, thin body can't handle the stress of fighting, he has remarked himself several times he'd 'snap in an instant'. He is still very helpful, providing potions, and sticking around on the battlefield to heal. If forced to fight, he uses either harmful potions, or long-range projectiles. -WRITTEN BY SERPENTARIUS ~~~~~ It all happened so fast. From being awoken by multiple deafening booms, to being shoved into tree branches in the mad frenzy that followed, to crash-landing in unknown lands without a clue as to what happened or where his loved ones were. The mere suddenness of it all made Aura dizzy and lightheaded enough to pass out on the spot. ~~~~~ "I've found another one!" "You're gonna be okay, don't worry. Ali, fetch me the bandages..." "He's tough work, but he'll pull through." When Aura came to, he was surrounded by five worried faces. "I-" "Shh! Rest! Questions can be asked later." said a Guardian as he was laid back down onto the cot. |
