______ Nobody knows how Storm's egg found its way from an apparent origin in Dragonhome to the shallow desert alcove where it was found by Puring, Gemglow, and Shimmerspark on a routine mission. But, just as every other hatchling in need of a home before him, he was nurtured by the clan in the hopes that he'd be able to live a fulfilling life - and perhaps gain an interest in science.


______ Once grown, he did, in fact, demonstrate the kind of passion that everyone was hoping he would. Taking it upon himself to learn everything he could about weather and the harsh climate surrounding them, something no clan member had given more than a cursory thought to, he cemented his role in the community. Observing as much as he possibly can, Storm is able to predict with impressive accuracy when lightning storms will be their worst, when the wind will stir up the sand too much for anyone to be outside the lair, and the rare occasions that the clan will be blessed with rain. Since he took on the job, a little of the daily pressures involved in keeping a growing clan alive have lessened. Storm isn't particularly sociable, and isn't close to anyone in particular, but seems to be content to repay those who saved him all the same.
