PERSONALITY

Skoll lives his life according to algorithms, carefully calculating everything from how long he should sleep, to when he should eat. Disrupt his routine, and he will throw an unseemly fit before slinking off to sulk. No-one can hold a grudge longer than Skoll, and he's still searching for the mage that cursed him and his companions all those years ago. He's not all bad though. His loyalty is as unyielding as the rest of him, and his careful algorithms keep the hoard's grottoes from collapsing and the haphazard spires from tumbling.

HIS STORY

The Skydancer turned one bloodshot purple eye on Skoll. Sinking behind Boo's shoulder, he raised his stubby wings around his shoulders.
A smirk sprang into place on the stranger's face. It was a look Skoll would never forget, even if he lived for a thousand years.
"Know," the Skydancer hissed, pulling himself to his full (yet thoroughly un-intimidating) height. "That you have damned yourself and all your kin for this transgression."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Boo snapped--but as the words left her lips, Skoll could feel it: a curdling of the blood, as if all the veins in his body had suddenly constricted. The frantic pounding of his heart filled his head, and he stumbled, dizzied. Nearby, Wick writhed in the leaf litter, and Pumpkin clutched her head. Only Boo stood firm, her watering eyes the only sign of her pain.
"What have you done?" she croaked, talons curling into the ground.
"You'll find out soon enough." With that, the mage leapt into the air and vanished.
Breath by breath, the agony abated. Regaining his balance, Skoll looked to Boo for reassurance, only to find bewilderment and terror in her face.
"I didn't mean to," he said. "It was an accident."
"It's not your fault." There was fire in Boo's eyes as she said it, each word weighed with leaden certainty. "There's only one dragon to blame--and we don't even know his name."

Back when Skoll wandered the lands with a small troupe of friends, they ran afoul of an Arcane dragon with a wicked temper. Since then, all their hatchlings have suffered his wrath, each in their own peculiar fashion: one was lost to the Shadowbinder’s guile, another set all he saw aflame, while a third bent the world to her will.
