He hated it. Despised it. Spit upon it. Yet here he was with the list in hand. Dalquiel read over the list given to him by Selaphiel once more. It looked impossible. He didn't want to do it. He didn't want to leave the safety of his home to go recruit. All he wanted to do was join Abaddon and Kalaziel in the labs. He wanted to try to concoct medicines and poisons. He wanted to go out in the world and collect ingredients. He wanted to experiment! But, no. This horrid job had been placed upon him. With the list memorized and tossed, Dalquiel grit his teeth and put on his biggest smile. Time to get to work. The days passed slowly, seemingly unending, before he was able to return to home with his first batch of recruits. They were from clans all across Sornieth, the ones who showed faith in their homes and wanted to be a representative of their respective flights. There were a few he had yet to convince and he dreaded going back out on the hunt, until he saw the chaos that was his clan. Zazriel was gone. The Skydancer had left in the middle of night, to stressed to deal with the pressures of wish granting that he had placed upon himself. Everyone was looking as far and wide and using what magic they could to no avail. |
