Once a Poster Child for the Mechanics of the Stormcatcher, Ancana squandered her talents in favor of the Arcane; a forbidden Magic known as Necromancy. Building moving objects out of wires and metal was simple, something that came second-nature to her in her prime, but she craved the achievement of breathing life into something inherently inert.

Hearing whispers of Plaguebringer Mythicality, Ancana put her reserves and funds into her research. This once sheltered Dragon sought out dark places, searching for hidden merchants and tradesmen to purchase these forsaken artes.

She made many terrible acquaintances, trading and offering things she could never possibly pay back in exchange for knowledge and magic. Deeper and deeper into the underbelly of Mortem Magyka did she spiral. Deals for money turned into deals for less tangible things. Items, Spirit, Name, Beauty.

By the time she’d learned what it is she set out to learn, gather what items it was she needed for her ritual, Icarus was twisted and marred with her journey. Stunning Obsidian feathers were charred and smouldering, cracks in her hide leaked and wept with molten ectoplasm.

Finally, she had achieved her goal. Her power surged and she brought to life Platinum, a Dragon crafted of long-dead Bone and lifeless porcelain. She gave what little beauty she had left to her creation, and he loved her dearly for it. Together they lived in the unclaimed wilderness, withering until they were found by the Lamane of Belliferous, Unanimous Himself, and recruited into the ranks of Midnight and Moonsong.
