P E R S O N A L I T Y

Taichi is an intense individual with a powerful sense of self-preservation. He is hungry in his ambition and has a deep-rooted sense of determination to succeed despite the costs in any and all situations. His competitive nature does not let emotions or obligations get in his way of achieving his goals. Unlike others, he is more than willing to get his hands dirty, doing the unpleasant work that no one else wants to do in order to achieve the goals that he sets for himself. He has a deep need to be independent and superior to those around him. He is thorough, meticulous, and despises laziness and cutting corners. Confident, quick-witted and resourceful, he is a force to be reckoned with once he decides what he wants to accomplish.

Taichi presents himself as an individual with roaring self-confidence. It's common to hear him shower himself with compliments and it's obvious from how he speaks of himself that if there were two of him he'd be dating himself. However, Taichi has built thick walls around himself, and much of how he presents himself to others is his way of deterring people from trying to be close to him. He prefers to be in charge of the situation and to be the one to push others away than vice versa. He finds it incredibly difficult to talk about or express his emotions successfully or healthily, and gets very uncomfortable when put on the spot to do so. Instead of admitting how he feels he tends to keep his emotions bottled up and hides behind his snark, sarcasm and wit. As a result he often distracts himself from his own personal issues and emotions by bullying, being rude or making fun of others.

However, to most, Taichi is a rather unlikable dragon due to his tendency to spark conflict and offend others easily. This is due to his extremely blunt, vulgar and rather apathetic nature. He has a habit of intentionally riling others up and often being too honest with others (eg. if they ask for his opinion). While he enjoys causing conflict and making others angry, there are times where he can be too harsh unintentionally. He makes much better company for those with a thicker skin, as he seems to genuinely not care if he offends, upsets or hurts other dragons, whether this be through his words or actions. He is a strong-minded individual who is extremely difficult to take down or hurt with words. He is anything but a people pleaser and could not care less about other dragon's approval or opinion of him. Due to his scarce emotional ties with others he finds no problem in putting himself first and disregarding the needs of others in order to help him accomplish his goals
