Delphinus Crown Prince of Silverwick  Crown Prince Delphinus is a hopeless romantic. His nest mates were allowed to go out into the world, and experience other clans and other lands. He grew up at home, under the weight of the title he received as first born. At first, he was devastated that he couldn't go on such an adventure, but he has since come to realize that he really does want to someday rule Silverwick- provided he gets an adventure in love beforehand. Now that he's of age, he is desperately looking to meet his princess. He pours over any and all love stories, begging mated dragons to tell him every little detail of the first time they met their mate. His mother is worried that he doesn't actually want a partner, just the experience of finding one. Delphinus doesn't understand the difference. When he has the time (he always has the time), Delphinus likes to while away the hours by writing (bad) love poems and (terrible) love songs. His musical ability is minimal at best, but that's not stopped him from wandering the halls of the royal court, strumming the three notes he knows and warbling on about the color of his lady love's eyes. Every verse uses a different of the 11 colors, because he hasn't actually met a lady love yet. The single females of the court put up with his songs, if only because they can hear him coming long before he can see them, thus giving them time to hastily escape. He has been begging craftmage Stil for a love charm, and received one, but it hasn't changed his luck. Probably because Stil knew better than to give the prince something like a love charm and instead gave him one that prevents stains on clothing. |
