Cosmos is the fiery tempered mate of Orion. She is often stubborn and can be brash, a polar opposite to her mate's levelheadedness, but they balance each other well. Orion can get Cosmos to calm down and look at a problem from different perspectives, and Cosmos helps Orion pick up the pace when it matters and to trust his gut. Though she was very reluctant to take up the duties of Queen, she is fiercely loyal to Orion and his subjects. Once she did accept the position, she was able to mostly overcome her doubts as to her ability to lead. Before becoming queen, Cosmos had always been more of a mediator than a true leader. She once served as an ambassador to Plague, and is determined to share the knowledge she gained while still living in the Wandering Contagion by tutoring the new ambassador, Flame. Her greatest desire is for her future children to explore Sornieth, and to gather knowledge from all the flights the way she was able to.
