With a personality as fierce as a forest fire and an appearance as graceful as the smoke billowing from it, Maura is a sight to behold. She strides through the lair, head held high as if she owns the place, expensive silks flowing as she moves. And perhaps that kind of confidence is required, when you can hear every negative and critical thought of those around you.

Her ability has always been received with negative reactions from others-- usually fear, distrust, and anger, but sometimes, desire. Faust was immediately intrigued with its potential to be used in business deals with merchants and diplomatic meetings with other clans, and keeps Maura close at hand, granting her choice den locations and the best food from the clan's stores in order to gain her favor. Maura is fully aware that she is being used, but being at the side of the clan matriarch (and a very large and intimidating one at that) is not a bad place to be.

Even after being with the clan for some time, her unsettling ability combined with her haughty personality still causes most of her clanmates to distrust and resent her. This has never bothered her much-- she never cared about the opinions of such simple-minded dragons, anyways. However, she has found a niche among some of the clan's "stranger" folk: Cyril, the Spiral with many eyes that each see a different plane of existence; Astrophel, the dark mage and necromancer who practices summoning strange beings in the depths of the woods; Tabitha, the little Fae witch who brews strange potions and toxins; as well as Victor and Alice, the actors with a love for dramatic flourish and the macabre.
