Aralyn came to the Stormheart clan long ago, so long ago that few remember how. The clan knows that Aralyn came from the Shifting Expanse originally, and journeyed far and wide to find her Charge. The clan knows that Aralyn was lost in the Tangled Wood. The clan knows that she was found by Khabarovsk. What most of the clan does not know is how Khabarovsk found her, and why Aralyn stayed with the clan.

If you were to ask Aralyn herself how Khabarovsk found her, she would tell you that she was lost and nervous in the Tangled Wood. She would tell you that she was attacked, and knocked unconscious. She would tell you that Khabarovsk drove away her attackers, and, with the help of Ragnufel, pulled Aralyn back to the home of the Stormheart clan.

But, if you were to ask her why she stayed, she would only smile knowingly. If you were to ask her why she stayed, she would not say a thing. If you were to ask Aralyn why she stayed with the Stormheart clan, took a mate, and mothered many hatchlings, she would not say a single word, but simply make herself more comfortable in her perch from which she can view the entire clan - nests, hatchlings, and all.

Aralyn is the Stormheart clan's Nestmother. She does not say why she has claimed this position, the job of protecting the clan's hatchlings from eggs until they are grown, but some suspect that the clan is her Charge. Aralyn does not speak of her Charge, except to Khabarovsk, who is the head of the clan; Ragnufel, whom Khabarovsk confides in; and Magtranna, Aralyn's Life-mate.

Magtranna would not tell you a thing, were you to ask him about his mate's personal business. Khabarovsk and Ragnufel would say nothing as well. No, if you wanted to know about Aralyn's personal business, you would have to ask Aralyn herself. You would have to gather the courage to approach the silent, intimidating, obsidian Guardian, and ask your question. And whether it be "What is your name?" or "What is your deepest, darkest secret?" she would not answer. No, Aralyn does not tell others things about herself lightly.

If you were to ask Alize, however... Alize would not answer your question, no. She would instead tell you a story, a tale of travel and attack. She would tell you of Aralyn's fury at a rouge stormseeker who attempted to spirit away a little Fae hatchling. She would tell you of the terrified squeals of the hatchling, and the great blow which Aralyn struck to the bird - but also of the gentleness with which Aralyn bore the hatchling back down to Lucretia. In this way, Alize would warn you - do not seek to gossip about Aralyn, for she is fiercely protective of everything.
