A curious nature and the wish to belong was what drove this dragon away from his home on the Starfall Isles and to these hostile lands. Riannoc feels only little connection to his relatives at the Astral Viators, being often compared to his grand-mother Atra, whom he shares nothing in common with, and the only relatable dragon being his grandfather, Pandect, whose magical abilities failed to pass down to him.
Riannoc, although trying his best, never achieved greatness at magic, his spells being nothing more than little flames and bursts that could not even tickle the youngest of dragons. He spent countless hours reading and practicing what he had learned, all without effect. Frustration and bitterness were the result, followed by weeks in which the young dragon pondered over his purpose in life.
He felt a strong desire to leave the lair, to go out and search for something that he could not name. He wandered out often, staying away for days, never finding what he searched for. It was only when the clan was visited by Hailstorm that he found out about his relatives in the peaks of the mountains at the end of the world.
Riannoc knew then that this was the place he had to go. He came to the conclusion that, if he wanted to find his purpose, if he wanted to find himself, he had to reach out to his relatives. He was sure that it was there where all the answers to his questions lay, and so he followed the messenger with hope in his heart, but unsure about what to expect.
Nowadays Riannoc enjoys spending time at Io's and Hawthorn's den, having become close friends with the former pirates, eagerly listening to their stories and anecdotes. In fact, Hawthorn has become a motherly figure for him and she cares for him as much as she does for her daughters, and Riannoc can't help but see Europa and Leadwort as his sisters, even referring to them as such when asked about them.
Whatever time he doesn't spend with his new family, he spends with his relatives. Especially Ganymede has become good friends with him and they often fly out together, chasing crows and deer for fun. From his great-aunt he learned a thing or two about nature and paranormal phenomena, and Cassiel taught him how to navigate in the mountains.
Mimas has taken a liking to the young skydancer, and although Riannoc is still struggling with his magical abilities, the coatl was able to tease out some of his potential, and, after a few weeks of training, declared him his student. They can often be seen together, bent over books or practicing spells. Mimas is sure that, with the right training, Riannoc will become one of the clan's greatest spell casters (keep dreaming honey).
