Biography

Indil
Huntress / What does rank matter, if you have to refrain from your happiness for it.

______________________________________________________________________

She was born into the royal family of a great clan. Her early life was filled luxury, servants would follow her every order and everything she demanded was brought to her without hesitation. The only thing that was forbidden to her, was doing something for her own. A princess mustn't work. And so she lived her life. Not always happy, but always in reach of everything she could dream of. Still, locked into a golden cage. Not that she minded much.

Everything changed, when a new guard became her personal bodyguard. He was interesting, despite, or maybe even because of his rather rude manners, compared to the servants she was used to. Slowly at first they drifted into a relationship, hidden behind friendly words, and closed curtains. They loved each other and even though they knew, that they couldn't be together, they enjoyed the time. But fate always finds a way. In her case, Indil first noticed it, when her stomach began to swell, only slightly, unnoticeable. Quickly the young Princess realized what had happened and made a decision. Knowing that her duties to the clan would never allow her children, born as the sons of a common soldier, her children would be taken away, locked away from her or killed the moment they opened their eyes and Indil would never be able to see her lover Ignis again.

The next time she saw him, she told him everything, including her plan and he agreed. Knowing that they had some time left, Ignis trained while she planned, studying the schedules of the other guards and astronomy. Revealing, even though only to herself, a bright mind, capable of great logical puzzles. When the darkest night came, Indil waited until the best possible moment, before she and her former bodyguard and now beloved mate ran away. Flying as quickly as they could, because Indil knew that they wouldn't come far before they were spotted and hunted down. But she had a plan, a daredevil plan, maybe insane. But the best they had. As quickly as they could, hunted as they were, they fled into plague land, deeper and deeper into the wasteland, heading straight for one of the most territorial clans they knew. But the gamble with fate paid off, while they could slip through the lines unnoticed, the warriors pursuing them hadn't had this much luck. Whoever stopped them, had to be a true monster unleashed, for their pitiful deathscreams will always hunt Indils dreams.

Only a few days later they had to stop, since Indils condition made it more and more dangerous to fly. They dig themselves a lair into the side of a little valley, where Indil laying three eggs. But life isn't always fine and the struggle and stress of their escape had taken a heavy toll at the former princess. Even though she and her mate cared lovingly for the hatchlings, one after one died in the unforgiving wasteland. Three lives had gone but other dragons, refugees like themselves had found their way into the little valley and together they formed a somewhat connected community. But arguments where daily, and to be honest Indil – still grieving for her lost children - didn't really enjoyed them. Trying to get away from the clan in those times as far as possible was her own way to handle her grief. Often Indil returned with prey or some gathered food. And over time the trips to the wasteland became daily and a habit, something that hadn't changed when Adara took over then clan, and became its leader.
