Biography
Neltharian swiftly shakes your hand before you hardly have a chance to rethink your decision.
"Alright then, sounds like we've got ourselves a deal. Help me find the 6 remainin' familiars around town, and I've got some Badges with yer name on ‘em." his gravelly voice states matter of factly. “That dang sheriff Kobra and his annoyin’ deputy Bullock, put me in charge of this dang travelin’ familiar zoo that that odd skydancer Fiona oversees from the comfert of the Trading Post.”
Releasing your hand-- the rusty Skydancer turns to face the empty train cars beside the both of you. Hay and feed haphazardly tossed about the stalls and adjacent ground by the wind. The closer you look-- you can see scratches and dings in the cars from being toppled onto their side by the gale force winds. With disguised worry in his voice he says:
“Now-- I couldn't see much through the sands. Dang wind near took me away with it if I wasn't careful. All Bullock an’ I could do was take shelter in my shack to wait it out. The train came in just ‘fore the storm hit, couldn’t even check in all these new critters. Now they’re deities’ knows where, causin’ chaos… maybe gettin’ hurt….But-- if there's anything to offer you, it's that Familiars are creatures of habit. Not too different, me an’ them, in that sense. They’re gonna be attracted to items an’ places that satisfy their instincts."
He stops in his tracks, pausing a moment. His lips curl into what you can only assume is a smile. "Though, in this bunch I saw there was a Buttersnake with a quirk I never seen ‘fore. This fella was so invested in striking silly poses an' lookin at their reflection. I could see ‘im as the train approached, flashin’ his wings. Odd one, that one. I'm sure if they're hiding around here-- it's probably somewhere where they'd be able to show off to others with ease, maybe somewhere with a wall of portraits…"
Nel appears to get lost in thought, trying to figure out where this next lead may be located.
“Y’know, I’m rememberin’ now that the townsfolk are getting their likeness taken o’er at this ancient buildin’ in the town -- ‘The Light Forum’ I believe it’s called, no one knows who built it, it’s just always been there. If you don’t have any luck there, consider touchin' base with Bullock while yer' at it. I figure he's got just as much trust in me as the rest of the town. Probably even has lil' charts noting all these familiars and their locations knowin' him. But I got an inkling that snake is where he can satisfy his modelin’ desires"
"Once you've found all six-- I'll be happy to reward you with a badge for your efforts. I'll be here with the remaining familiars at the Train. "
