- basically undercover? blends in as best as possible to be Just Some Employee to anyone overhead, but is earnestly pulling the strings for 90% of the place, even going so far as to orchestrate hires and depose anyone brought onboard without his explicit approval.
- anyway he's undercover because, until he figures out who his parents are, it's too risky to reveal himself. they already tried to have him assassinated once, twice if you count the abandonment; what would they do, finding out he's growing more successful by the day? so instead he hides in plain sight, letting others take the credit, accumulating power and resources until he can confidently pinpoint who poses a threat and buy them out wholesale.
