Radiance's egg was found by Fenton just as the clan was getting settled in their new lair. Her egg was lying in a bright meadow full of flowers when he came upon it. The egg was still warm, as if it had been left there specifically for him to find. Fenton carefully packed the egg away and vowed to take care of the hatchling for the rest of its life. Genoth wasn't too sure about a mysterious egg becoming part of the lair, but Fenton convinced him he would be responsible for it.
Radiance hatched rather quickly, shaking off her shell and glaring at Fenton when she opened her eyes. She started bouncing and darting all over the nest she was in, full of energy and life. Everywhere she went, flowers and grasses bloomed and grew. Fenton was charmed by her vibrance and personality, and raised her as if she was his daughter. He taught her the ways of the clan and Sornieth, and helped her control the powers that caused growth everywhere she went.
Radiance makes sure the lair is always beautiful, working as a gardener. She loves her adopted father, and is seen with him and Shroudslip quite often. Radiance was born plain, but her magic started to manifest on her skin. She was delighted with the change, and took it as a sign she needed to do more. She soon grew a massive garden with flowers that reached to the sky. Insects of all varieties flock to the garden.
Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.
