But eventually, against those tremendous odds, he had succeeded - had grown into his own, accepted his own person with a dignity that became him somehow - and indeed, at the end of it all, he was, perhaps, rendered even more resplendent by his emancipation.'' || ❤ || It's no secret within the clan that Tristan comes from a titled family, what with his naturally dignified stance and his way of pronouncing everything far too clearly when he speaks. What is secret is exactly why he's living within the clan instead of living it up in some jewel-encrusted palace somewhere - he won't tell, and nobody quite dares to ask, although there's a strong suspicion that it has something to do with Moritz's past attempts to wipe out the dragonborn nobility. Tristan is generally sweet-tempered and amiable - for all his upbringing, he's not too spoilt, and often appears rather diffident and unassuming, preferring to retreat from any conflict than to confront any foe, even if doing so means he doesn't stand up for himself. Nevertheless, when thrust into a dire situation which endangers those he cares about, he displays a strong and determined survival instinct that far outstrips his usual fragile facade, and is often willing to jump into the path of danger in order to protect his friends, should the need to do so arise. |
