The Story Thus Far

Since she hatched to the clan Most simply assumed she would be an unassuming dragon. She did little in a way while greatly impacting others. Most of her impact was in the form of the magic she cast. making heavy loads lighter, creating a source of water to drink and to water the crops. Often she was found sleeping beside Soothsayer, as the dragon often found the best spots to sunbathe in. When her wings first changed, she thought it was a trick of the light, but shade showed that the bright white patches made it look like clouds on a sunny day were now her wings. She thought this was a wonderful thing even if it was hard to see them under the bright sapphire-colored feathers she adored to wear.

When her second blessing came Teardrop didn't notice. It would have gone unnoticed if Soothsayer hadn't tapped the mask she had taken to wearing and nodded her large head slowly. "You have changed, the lights have told me so." The words came with a swish of her lantern while her first mate, Yuki climbed up taking in the small nocturne. "Did I?" She had asked stretching before she began to search for the change, after all, she had taken to wearing even more of those feathers. Once most of them disappeared both Yuki and Soothsayer nodded in agreement as she posed. "Looks like it!" She chirped before redressing her feathers and disappearing before the tiniest of the three joined them.

Teardrop spent the rest of that day showing off her new strips. The final blessing was noticeable. bright orange markings appeared on her scales one day in the form of bones and skulls. A giggle fell from her as she clambered up to Soothsayer. "Look!" She exclaimed as the massive dragon's head tipped taking in the nocturne once more. "A third blessing!" A deep rumbling chuckle as Soothsayer nodded smiling happily. "As the lights predicted."
