"Close the door! You'll let in the breeze, and the feathers will escape." Sometimes Buttons wishes his name had been Feather, or Wing, or Quill, or even Bird. As it is, people don't seem adequately forewarned about his obsession.

He collects feathers, constantly and incessantly. He has piles of them, with scribbly little labels describing every single item in his magnificent collection, and he can wax poetic about their uses (writing, decoration, fans, bedding, tickle-implements and the list goes on) for hours. When feathered dragons moult, he is right there to collect the result, and he may have an ambition to collect every colour and pattern variant that is possible on Sornieth. Where will he put them all? He's not sure yet, but he'll make room somehow.

Buttons is found most often either in the middle of his collection, or trailing after some feathered creature and watching it with yearning, waiting for it to drop some of his precious, precious treasures. (He's not above pouncing on birds just to startle them and send feathers flying, either.) Other dragons tend to think that Buttons is a little strange... especially if they've seen him eyeing their feathers.
