Biography

Recordkeeper
"Fascinating yes indeed, do tell me more of this natural science of yours!"

Eiderdown is...a little strange. He is a result of one of Jillian's most successful experiments, a fully-functional magical machine who appears completely organic to the uninitiated—honestly, he's mostly made of organic materials anyway. There is one minor issue, which is that he moves with absurdly accelerated speed, and when he's excited about something, which is often, he tends to become an enthusiastically vibrating blur. Even other Faes have trouble talking to him, since his frills move too fast for some of them to follow.

He is very, very excited about science, especially the study of the natural world, perhaps unsurprisingly considering his background. No one is quite sure how a Lightning-made device came to be Nature-aligned, though Jillian suspects it was the moths...regardless, the little fellow is quite scientifically-minded and would assist the rest of the scientists in their experiments if only he talked slowly enough for them to understand.

Curiously, he has developed a great fondness for Eureka, and is often seen flitting about the planning office flipping through color swatches. He has taken on some of the other Fae's speech patterns from spending so much time around him. It's a little confusing. Moreover, we're all pretty sure Eiderdown can't even see color, since Jillian hasn't found a way to make that work yet. The dragon himself has offered to be taken apart and analyzed, and in fact seems every bit as interested in his own inner workings as the rest of the clan. Which...is not less weird.

His familiar is called Fennel because he enjoys saying it, and sometimes carries him in her antlers on the rare occasion that he gets tired of all the high-speed flitting about. She is known for her even temper in the face of his high-pitched strangeness and seems to have chosen him rather than the other way around, though no one is clear on why.
