Horizon

Horizon smiled as she saw her denmate win--share a win, rather, which was even more exciting!--the first round. He was better with the confidence then she was. Ironic, since they'd spent the whole time they were putting their costumes together talking each other up. And that was how she knew that she could do this! What glory could she help bring to clan SnowDreams? it was exciting! Trickmurk was the best!!

The next round began an unknowable amount of time later... Magic! This was her time to enter, she thought! She took a deep breath, her claws clutching her pearl a little tighter as she positioned herself carefully, among all the other posturing dragons, before her wings flared up, and out, letting the dying sunlight in the clearing catch her wings, the shimmery flesh glowing with firey brilliance next to her pale white hide. She was not as showy as some of her clanmates, though all said that her splendor was with the sun's light. She cocked her head so that the skull's feathery crest rose (Frost had told her that that was VERY important body language!) and announced "Prove the sun shines through you! Face me another form!" She held her pose, legs firmly under her, as though ready for combat, front paw on her pearl. Her tail swayed from side to side while her wings embraced the sunlight that set them on fire.

The mask made it easier to seem arrogant... she could only hope she was able to pull off her costume. So far, no one seemed to understand that she was the old shaman witch from the story "Champion of the Sun"! Though.. That seemed to be a Coatl story.. while She grew up with it.. maybe others hadn't....? She winced a little as she heard a snapper whisper to a skydancer, "Is she some kind of bone collector or something?" ... maybe this was a bad idea!
