Originally born Arcane, Bolt believes that she is meant to be a mage. However, she hasn't quite mastered the techniques used by mages, and isn't a fan of her name for that reason. While her self esteem isn't the best, she often makes jokes in the self deprecating nature, getting others to laugh at her own expense. She graduated from the Fishspine Home for Extraordinary Youngsters and was found wandering around by a small female Mirror with a crown of bones about her head. Invited to live with the Nepodoban Clan, Bolt hopes that she can start anew among only one other of her birth-flight - an infant Nocturne named Jin who was separated from her twin brother to live in an allied clan. She secretly hopes that one of her new clanmates is a mage and can help her, but for now she is content with watching out for the other little Arcane-born.

Bolt was sad to see her fellow-Arcane-born leave, but she understood the little Nocturne's longing to explore the world they lived in. She wished her the best, and told her to write when she could.

With her friend gone, Bolt has put most of her focus into training, rising to be one of the best fighters in the clan (excluding the Divljaci). She might not be a mage, persay, but she has become more than what she previously thought herself of being capable of doing.
