Phoenix

HISTORY
Phoenix was born to two of Yume's Six Advisors, Tsuki of the moon and Taiyo of the sun. Her siblings had all left on their own, but Phoenix refused to leave. She hadn't been named at the time so most of the clan called her "Flicker". She was given that nickname because she would burst through the air when she took flight, but since she was a weak flyer, soon after take off, Phoenix would end up floating down. This didn't bother her too much, however, one day she was dared by the other hatchlings and young dragons to fly through the a fire pit they had found in the Fire Domain, the Ashfall Waste. The fire wasn't like normal fire. It could burn right through a dragon's scales. But Phoenix, or "Flicker", accepted the challenge since she wasn't too keen on backing down. The pit wasn't too big and with a leap it had seemed easy to make. It didn't seem too bad until Phoenix's talons had lifted off the ground. About halfway above the pit, Phoenix started sinking into the fire. The other dragons were too scared of getting burned or worse to try and help Phoenix since she was so close to the fire. Soon enough, the flames had swallowed the poor young imperial. The dragons that had been there left back to their clan's lair and told Yume, Tsuki, and Taiyo what happened. Tsuki was devastated to find out her only hatchling left in the clan had come to meet such a terrible fate. Taiyo was furious and if it wasn't for Yume, the technicians may have needed to fix more than just a small part of the lair. Yume ordered the dragons to take her to the area where Phoenix was in a calm demeanor to which the others didn't understand, but led her to the fiery pit in the Ashfall Waste. Yume stared at the fire for a bit before saying something that shocked everyone there. The snow white, and night black dragon tol Phoenix that she could come out. Phoenix didn't think anyone would find her, but she spread her wings and soared straight out of the pit before landing gracefully in front of everyone. Her scales had become darker, her circuit marks had become brighter, and her eyes looked like they had small flames inside. The weak flyer hatchling had been reborn into a strong, beautiful phoenix-like dragon. It was then everyone knew the perfect name for her, but it was Yume who spoke for them all. She asked "Flicker' if she would like the name of Phoenix better. The young imperial happily agreed. She had been born anew.
