Brightmaw

Brightmaw was once one of the most magnificent and promising of the light dragon Theila's clan. However, after Theila and the fire dragon Ignerox became close friends and allies she decided that some of her clan could become even greater if they followed Ignerox's example of strength and fury. So it was that Brightmaw, along with his fellow clanmates Ylsa and Starsong, left their home in the Sunbeam Ruins to join Ignerox's clan.

Brightmaw may have embraced the fiery passion of his new flight, but he has not forgotten the logic and thirst for knowledge that makes him a light dragon. He often finds himself rescuing his younger clan-mates, especially Ignerox's younger offspring, from fights that he had cautioned them earlier on being illogical and suicidal which only encouraged them further much to his frustration. When he is not rescuing overconfident juveniles he spends his time gathering artifacts across the Ashfall Wastes and observing its ever changing landscapes.

When the time comes to battle Brightmaw does not shy away but in fact relishes the chance to fight either alone or alongside Ignerox himself. Not only does he grow in strength but his knowledge is also deepened concerning the beasts of the world. He learns his opponents strength and weaknesses as well as his and his comrades' limitations. On a few occasions he used his extensive knowledge to council Ignerox against a battle that could have turned out to be a fatal mistake, reminding Ignerox that by dieing he would fail in his charge to protect the Flamecaller when his council turned into an argument.
