1906.png7695.png 		It was in the dead of night when Aveline was discovered. Or rather, she allowed herself to be found. Her appearance was sinister; Tsubaki had crossed the great stone alter to offer her prayers to the Deity but when she cast her gaze towards the opening that homed The Enyo, there sat a lone doll, propped up and leaning to one side with a ghost of a smile painted on her porcelain lips. A shiver ran through the priestest but yet she couldn't pull her eyes away from the cold empty marionettes. Somehow, this doll was staring into the deepest parts of her soul and it sent a cold shiver up the womans spine. For reasons unknown, Tsubaki found herself carrying the small object home, and placed it in an empty nesting spot meant for new arrivals. But the oddities only continued to deepen after that first night.

At first, nobody noticed the new arrival. She was hidden away in a home that was uninhabitated and so nobody had much reason to venture into it. Perhaps Aveline got bored. Perhaps the lack of attention made the doll angry. Nobody knew for sure. But one morning a shrill and unusual scream filled the lair, and it was Ares who rushed into his partner's home to find that the usually apathetic and disturbingly cheerful Eve pressed tightly to the corner of the room, trembling and staring at ... some sort of manequin? Which had somehow been tucked neatly in beside her while she slept. As he viewed the strange, unthreatening toy with confusion, he was sure that he saw the corners of the mouth lift up in a smile, just for a moment. It must have been his eyes playing tricks on him...
But nobody has been able to pull them more than once.
