Named after the Greek goddess of the hearth and home


‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ Once, while exploring the outskirts of the clan territory, a mirror named Jade came across the skeleton of a nocturne hatchling, which she carefully brought home and presented to her mate Braith. Braith, who also happened to be the clan's apothecary, took it upon herself to try to revive the long-gone hatchling. She learned from the clan leader of a magical mix of water and tree sap that formed in a small crevice of the twin trees which could supposedly revive a dead dragon. Braith had spent months using her Shadow magic, combined with plant growth and stitched fabric, to craft a body around the old, small bones. Once her work was complete, she gave the hatchling a few drops of liquid, and she came to life.

‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ The hatchling's mothers named her Hestia, and although she is regarded as a miracle, most dragons of the clan are unsure of how to feel about her. Her old bones are clearly visible through her plant-formed body, and she makes clicking sounds in place of speech. She is sweet and happy, but her peculiar interests and habits sometimes catch dragons off-guard; it's hard to know what she learned from her moms and what is just her being an odd little hatchling. Still, she is treated with kindness and greatly loved, and she is buddies with her fellow nonverbal hatchling Eglantine.
