B I O G R A P H Y

______ When the snow banks are high and the weather chilly, a special dragon visits Sornieth. The green and red of his coat are synonymous with presents and winter time cheer. He gives presents to only those who deserve them. Many dragons believe that this mythical figure is made up to scare hatchlings into behaving. Others know the truth.

______ Noel was born during the darkest, coldest month of the year. The Sea of a Thousand Currents is especially cold at this time. Light was fleeting, and the night was long. Dragons did not have many things to smile about.

______ Even as a hatchling, Noel wanted to change all of that. He decided to give small gifts to all of the dragons he saw. Unfortunately for Noel, he only saw his family. His mother and father appreciated the small string of shells but worried for the future of their child. They hoped he would grow out of this child-like wonder. They hoped that the world wouldn't break their happy-go-lucky child. Their prayers were partially answered./color]

______ Noel left his home clan once the winter was over. His home clan was sad to see him go so early. The child had barely learned how to fly yet he was determinant to take on the world's sadness. He decided to go to the Southern Icefields because the elder dragons had always talked about how miserable it was there.

______ The journey took many months. Even though Noel took the shortest route, through the Windswept Plateau, he was stopped due to robbers. They stole all of his possessions and his ferry money. Noel had to work for a local post office as a messenger boy in order to get his money back. His boss was amazed at how happy the young wildclaw was with his work. After 6 weeks, Noel finally had enough to afford a ferry.


______ Noel felt right at home in the Icefields. He spent a long time just wandering and giving gifts to all he encountered. But again, the world dealt him a foul hand. Noel was attacked by a band of cruel Tundras. He had icicles in his back and tail; his money was gone. Noel didn't think he would last another week. He slowly became more bitter as time went on. How dare people take advantage of his kind nature. All he wanted to do was make people happy. Why wouldn't people let him do that.

______ Luckily for him, a skeletal coatl spotted him collapsed in the snow before it was too late. He was dragged to an icy lair. Noel's injuries were healed, but his heart was not. He swore he would only give to those who deserved it and only during the darkest month. He became a legend in the Southern Icefields. Hatchlings would whisper about the red and green wildclaw who awarded only the good during the winter. When he wasn't giving gifts, Noel worked as a messenger in his new clan. He is content and happy, but no longer naive or innocent.
