Evershade works as the clans "Keeper," and without him, the clan would not be able to run as smoothly as it does. As Keeper, Evershade takes up the task of raising hatchlings who come to the clan, or hatchlings who's parents left the clan before they hatched. Evershade works as both mother and father for these hatchlings, and takes his job very seriously.

Despite his stressful job, Evershade is rather laid back, and treats everyone equally. He never raises his voice or harms any hatchling, no matter the circumstances, and is a great listener and problem solver. He's very smart, making him an excelent teacher and instructer. He teaches basic math, as well as a variation of different tongues. Though he is very educated, he is very humble, and never tries to outsmart other dragons.
