Biography

VALOUR
Aramis' Triplets - Knight

Valour takes after his adoptive father in the sense that he is overly well-mannered, often speaking with excessive formality and sometimes considering himself to be well above the station of often higher-ranked but more uncouth dragons. He thinks of himself as his father's bodyguard, taking a cue from Charon's protective stance toward Kuiper, and considers the Ridgeback Enforcers to be less than necessary to his father, despite them having repeatedly proven their worth in conflict. He is fiercely loyal, and abides by his own code of honour at all times.

It is a well-known fact that all proper knights should not be expected to do all of their work on their own, and Valour was well aware of the need for a squire, should he ever want to be considered to truly be a knight. But a squire could not be just any old dragon, they had to be diligent and polite, well-mannered and knowledgable. When his armour needed polishing one particularly busy day, he found another Imperial who was perfectly willing to do the job, did it without complaint, and asked only for a bit of treasure in exchange for the work. The way this dragon carried himself caught Valour's attention, and when he returned later in the day to collect his belongings, he found all of it to be present, clean and that even the smallest dents had been buffed out.

Now truly impressed by the diligence of this other dragon, he asked him for his name, which he learned was Emery. Seeing an opportunity that just could not be passed up, he offered the younger imperial a job as his squire, which Emery was only too happy to accept. When not doing other work, the squire is now typically seen at Valour's side, loyally following his master and following his every order.

As time has passed, Valour has continued to be impressed by his squire, having not once been let down by his service. As a sort of reward aside from his usual remuneration, Valour has begun to train Emery to be a knight in his own right, though he would be loath to see him go.
