As an assistant magician, Sweetart is expected to be somewhat of an entertainer. He tries--he really does!--but he's not much of a social dragon, let alone a performer. Luckily, Reala does most of the acting and extravagant plays of showmanship.

Sweetart does prefer enjoying the show himself over creating it. However, he's been with Reala for such a long time that he knows every in and out of every trick--not that he'd ever reveal them; "a magician never reveals their secrets"--and can generally pretty comfortably assist Reala in small tasks like grabbing props, acting surprised at the right time, and other less skillful or socially demanding jobs. To be honest, at least it was far more interesting than being a puppet.

What bothers Sweetart just the slightest bit is the fact that right after a performance, others like to ask a lot of questions. They want to know what the deal with his puppet joints is. Then they want to know the story behind his creation. Then they want to know what it was like being a puppet. It was exhausting, but he couldn't just turn away the lovely audience that just watched their show!

Most of the time the others would eventually realize he was uncomfortable at so much attention or that Sweetart wouldn't have memories of being a puppet because of one small fact: puppets aren't sentient... except Sweetart of course. Then the others would all end up leaving one by one and Sweetart would finally feel at ease again.

Talking one on one was a different story though; there wasn't so much information to process with only a single other speaker. Sweetart always took a while to open up, but given enough time he loved to talk about everything he's discovered after becoming real.

There's the joy of dancing--of his own accord! Not because someone else was pulling his strings to make him!--but not in front of others, of course. Sweetart just loved the feeling of his ball-joint limbs sliding smoothly and effortlessly in tight turns and wide, careening circles. The fluidity, the freedom, the sheer energy. Who wouldn't love dancing? He just absolutely reveled in moving in time to imaginary, sometimes real if he was lucky, music.

Which brought him to his next favorite thing: music. He particularly favored soft, classical music with few instruments. Given the usual loud nature of performing for an excited audience, it was a good way to wind down and recuperate. If Sweetart could someday learn to make music like the musicians he so loved, he'd just be overjoyed!

The problem was he couldn't possibly pick a favorite instrument--there were so many good ones!--the soft, dulcet tones of a woodwind such as a flute, clarinet or oboe. The warm, commanding presence of a brass such as french horn, trumpet, or trombone. Oh, and what about the vocalists? The pianists? No, no, he couldn't choose; he'd just one day have to learn them all!

At the end of the day, Sweetart is many things: patient, forgiving, compassionate, and artistic, but, most of all, he's content.
