Biography

Ares Sumatha, the reincarnation of the Fallen King

Years ago, when Clan Tenebrae was based in the scorching fields of the Ashfall Waste, there were two dragons who ruled with iron fists: Ares Blackstripe and his wife, Hyacinth Rustwing. The two were harsh, ruthless, and their daughter Nessarose was just as cruel.
The mad Guardian became obsessed with the darkened lands of the Tangled Wood, believing the tricksters of the Shadowbinder's realm to be the most intelligent of dragons and that they would have better luck forging alliances with other clans.
However, the ambitious journey resulted in a dozen deaths of fellow clan members. Ares refused to stop until the cool mists of the Tangled Wood surrounded the clan, resulting in more dragons being exalted or leaving the clan altogether.

Years of brutal rule left the clan in a state of unease; Ares became obsessed with Pearlcatchers and decided to take on their form, as his wife took the form of a Guardian in place of a Mirror.
He squandered the clan's treasure on gene scrolls and apparel for himself, leaving the clan starving and poor.

Finally, a Wildclaw named Nisha, decided she'd had enough. She entered the mad King's lair and killed him as he slept, along with his mate and daughter and claimed the position as Alpha. However, it wasn't long before she succumbed to the disarray of the clan's unrest. She also fell, along with the Imperials that took over in her absence.
Years later, the Shadowbinder took the king's tortured soul and offered him a second chance: He would once again exist among the living, as a true child of Shadow.
However, it was under a single condition: He take on the form of a Nocturne, a true child of the Shadowbinder. Only then would he be allowed to take on the role of Alpha once again.
