THE DELICATE PRINCE

As was common within their breed, Lady Vibrance and Lord Kaden's previous litters had never exceeded two hatchlings and had most often been a single child. The arrival of the twin princes Vitro and Vivo had been quite a shock, so it should come as no surprise that the four youngest were not exactly... planned for. There simply wasn't enough space in the lair for so many members of their ruling family, and so, despite Kaden's protests, the Lady Vibrance took matters into her own claws. One of the four, the dark-coloured hatchling Prince Situ, was chosen to stay and be raised with his brothers and sister. The other three were flown to far, but safe, corners of Sorneith and left for other clans to happen across, complete with note.
"Stranger! This hatchling is the Prince Soto, my son. We do not have the resources to care for him or his brothers — we are not a prosperous clan.
I beg of you, keep him safe. Raise him as one of yours.

The oldest prince, Soto, was often mistaken for the youngest of the bunch. His volatile emotional state and constant concern for others made him more suited for healing than leading, and indeed he never showed any interest in being leader of anything. Instead, this hatchling whiled away his time chatting to familiars and shadowing the healers, ever wanting to help.
Young Prince Soto, having been left among a clan dedicated to helping people, found himself at a mild loss as there was nothing to be focused on at the time. As was customery among permanent residents of Aperta, his name was changed to that of the constellation of the healer, Ophiuchus. Over time, he dropped his title as well, among the most liberal and anti-establishment dragons around.
It took the clan's journey across Sorneith to the domain of the Stormcatcher for Ophiuchus to find a use for himself. As a part of the drive to use Lightning technology, Plague magic and Arcane imagination to build the most state-of-the-art hospital in all Sornieth, Ophiuchus trained as a doctor and joined the ranks of the medical staff.
Every Aperta Medical doctor has a speciality, and Ophiuchus is no different. While most physical injuries are restored through physical means, Ophiucus focuses on researching magical methods of repairing physical damage, the benefits of which are primarily found in not having to put the patient through surgery. Results are promising, although major trauma is still in need of Fabella's 'care'.
As is normal for Aperta doctors, Ophiuchus has found his emotional state change with age and relation to the local lunatics. Still a volatile mood-swinger, Ophiuchus is able to control himself long enough in a professional setting, along with repeated mandatory therapy sessions. He has also gained a level of exuberance comparable to Paget or Passant, and gets on rather well with them. All tempered by his excessive desire to help people, it's easy to see why he was never going to be the warrior his mother is. If caught in battle, the poor thing would just be ripped into little smiling shreds.
