RUNE
Bog Witch / Herbalist / Healer Rune is a quiet, shy character who is always seen clutching a thick tome or other magical paraphernalia, if they're ever seen at all. They have taken an interest in nature magica and the arcane arts, rarely leaving their small cave to study their craft. The smell of herbs and incense clings to them, an oddly comforting and familiar scent to those who are in Rune's presence. Their familiar, a Peacevine Aardvark named Simon, is always by their side with books and medicinal ingredients in the saddlebags on either side, the scent of the large flowering plant on its back mingling with Rune's own incense-smoke-and-herbs smell. There are a few plants and medicines Rune can't grow, such as plants native to other Flights, so they will routinely stop by Theomeny's tavern to buy any plants she has picked up from travelers. There they have met the quiet barkeeper, Markl, though neither has spoken more than a few words to each other. Rune likes him, but the young man shies away and finds things to do that would take him away from Rune's presence, so Rune has stopped being so forward. They hope that Markl will open up eventually, but for the time being Rune is gentle and kind whenever they and Markl are in the same space. Rune is best friends with Komodo. He is tutoring Bomix in healing herbs and medicinal practices, though he wishes the guardian wasn't so eager to head off to a battlefield to put use to his training. They and Bomix is usually the one to help the unnamed fae they have in their care. One of them will bring him meals and accompany him to the stream to bathe, though it is a struggle to get the fae to eat; his throat must be causing him great pain. |
