About:

Dust isn't the first dragon of this clan, but she clearly is the first competent leader of Vulonta. The first progen left the clan long time ago and, after her leaving, the clan got drown in argues. Dragons were coming and leaving, clan members were scattered around the Tangled wood and some were even noticed around the Scarred Wasteland.
It would be fair to say that the whole Vulonta clan you can see nowdays actually exists because of Dust. She was born in anarchy. She grew up in anarchy. And she decided to stop it once and for all. But for a start she had to get something more than just words.
She left the clan in the middle of the night and went to the Windswept Plateau for some advice - afterall Wind dragons were known for their frendliness. There she met Gyre, a leader of the SiJunma clan, that generously sheltered her for a month and helped her training with his warriors.
She came back unexpectedly, with twin wind coatls - Irithel and Iribelle - and without asking anybody started reforming the clan. She just calmly stated, that everybody who wants to be a part of the clan can stay but must stick to the certain rules. All who'll leave won't be able to return and will never get support and protection of Vulonta.
Only a few stayed, most decided to leave the clan. Then Dust started to recover it and make the Clan stronger than it has ever been.
