Ayres || The Hunter Scout

Facts in Five:

Sometimes creates her own tunnels and paths through the underbrush for fun.
Barely sits still when not working but is eerily quiet while working.
Adores the color pink and will always choose it, firmly believing pink is the best color.
Has never backed down from a fight and has the scars to proove it.
Somehow knows her way around every territory she's ever been in and never gets lost.

Flowers don't talk to Ayres like they do to the rest of the troupe. The flowers are silent where she walks. They understand what kind of business she is on when she travels among them. Hatched into the world cold and alone, she was found by another motherless dragon who brought her to the troupe. Within it she made herself known as a mirror without fear and, most importantly, without a pack. She shunned the other mirrors who lived with the troupe, openly defying her breed heritage as if to silently comment on her own origin.

When Tasuil the mage came along to fix Valentino, Ayres was given the same treatment at her stubborn request. She adores Valentino, looks up to him and loves him in the same moment, and didn't want the once-guardian to go through such a change alone. Tasuil managed to do the breed change scroll correct for her. Unlike her mate, she has no need to return and receive magical treatment. Instead, she travels on Tasuil's word to search for a permanent solution to Valentino's change.

She goes with the hunting parties to clear paths and find food when not on her own missions. This makes her light on her feet and very alert. She tends to walk very softly, so that even her friends can just barely hear her when they're straining their ears. Since her change into a spiral her movement has been more disconcertingly silent and many dragons dislike going out in scouting parties with her because of it. How can a spiral be so quiet? Rush enjoys bringing the spiral along on certain missions since she can move so otherworldly quietly that it unnerves the enemy almost as much as it unnerves the ally.

Lacking the personal skills needed for social life, Ayres resorts easily to living alone. She is resourceful and quick on her feet, overcoming any obsticle with determination alone. As a whole she is incredibly useful to the troupe and her transformation into a spiral has only made her more so. Not only is she more able to take care of herself now, but she also has a much better grasp on social skills than when she was a mirror.

With a winding system made primarily by her mate, Valentino, she can sometimes get lost. Lacking her mirror sense of smell, she has to figure out how to get to their sleeping chamber on her own. This usually ends up with Ayres creating her own tunnels in order to get there. She has very little say on the design of the actual lair. Decorating, however, is free game. Hanging bird bone chimes and various wards against various magicks.

As she grew older and the hormones started to rise, she found herself more and more attracted to the big rose guardian who stayed watch over the flowers. With gentle persistence and a hearty sense of confidence, Ayres managed to break down the barriers of Valentino's reluctance and wormed her way into a perfectly Ayres-sized hole in his life. Even after their flight into the Shrieking Wilds.
