I knew immediately not to let her intricate braids and golden bangles fool me; Storm was a warrior to rival any other, almost as dangerous as her namesake."

Rambunctious, confident, and extroverted, Storm is both the Inn's darling child and devastator. She spent her youth causing problems and pulling pranks, exploring the misty Crosslands without fear. As her magic grew and expanded, Storm focused it towards experimenting and teaching; she is surprisingly good with hatchlings, and a dragon at the forefront of magical experimentation. Though supposedly more mature now, Storm still likes to relive her hatchling days of chaos. -- Likes // thunderstorms, blackberries, practical jokes -- Dislikes // deep water, responsibility, lectures Background // BACKGROUND -- History // Storm hatched with clouds on the horizon. Her father, Blue, regarded it as an omen of change. He thought it meant change for his life. He was wrong. The runes began to appear when Storm was just a hatchling. Glowing marks the likes of which her parents had never seen. Healers directed them to mages, and mages to healers; it soon became clear that this was something neither group had seen before. Reports of other incidents reached their ears from all over Sorineth. They were calling it a 'new arise of strong magical expression'. 'Strong' was an understatement. As Storm grew, so did her runes - and the magic that came with. The young tundra was elated; her parents, less so. They feared her magic, which reached far beyond the bounds control. Storm summoned thunderheads with her anger and sunlight with her joy; with sorrow came rain, and fear brought clouds. Blue desperately sought an answer before his daughter did serious damage. A spiritualist and old friend, Yada, presented the solution. Use. Instead of suppressing the power, Storm began exploring it. Blue isolated an entire plateau solely for practice; to this day, Mage's Roost is a favorite spot for experimenting. Storm's skills improved and expanded with practice. She sought lessons from other clans, corresponded with mages as far-off as the Starfall Isles. Though now grown, Storm continues to practice and experiment. Her can-do attitude leads to dangerous consequences and incredible results. Blue worries about handing off the Inn's reins to such a rambunctious dragon, but finds himself determined to see Storm in his place. Storm, on the other hand, would be content to teach younger mages for the rest of her life. But there's still time. Notes // + Blue wants Storm to be the next leader of the Inn. They disagree on the matter + keeps in touch with the rest of her siblings, who followed their father's adventurous footsteps and spread out over all of Sorienth. + keeps plants. Talks to plants. Surprisingly good with plants, for all her penchant of lighting things on fire or drowning them in water + close friends with Kunto, the garden mage, after rescuing her from certain death + on that note, very much not straight + earned her name from the storm that broke not long after she hatched. Storm lives up to its chaotic nature. |
