 If you go a little past Sol's workshop and follow a dim orange glow down the rock hewn tunnel, perhaps you might notice that the stone floor turns a little more to sand. And if you were to keep going, deeper into the warming tunnels , you might notice a breeze following you. And if you were to follow that breeze it would take you down to the Home of the Embers where Evira, Keeper of the Coals spends her days.

Evira was born a little too coldblooded for a derg. Some say it was because her clutch had no mother, others say it was the constant gale from the Windswept Plateau. Either way, she spent all her days wrapped in layers and layers of apparel. Anything Evira could find to wrap around small frame she took to immediately and was always still too cold. Then, on an especially biting winter's day, a sulfur scented chinook swept past Evira, warming her to her bones. She followed it.

That well traveled wind finally died in the Ashfall Wastes and here Evira felt real warmth for the first time in her life. She was finally home.

Now Evira keeps the auxiliary coals for the forge in a sandy bed, feeding them air and charcoal. She loves her little nest and may be thinking of having a few hatchlings here down the road.
