Pyscani

Second Era, Coming of the Demon Horde

The Pyscani are a race of aquatic humanoids, part man part marine animal. Seen to be part shark, they grow fins from their heads, middle-backs, and calves. Their bodies covered in mirco-scales, coming in variations of color of all kinds, just like the tropical fish found off the Southern shores of Alderius. Their ability to swim is granted by their particularly long tails similar in shape and form to those of sharks.

Calling home to the Crescent Isles found several miles off the South of Alderius, planted firmly in the ocean, the Pyscani were called upon to serve the young king of Devaldan against the Demon Horde. Only after banding together with the Druids, Elves, Humans and the Legion of Bones were they all able to push back the Demon Horde, and save all of Alderius. In turn, the entire world.

Their key contribution was that in the strength of a powerful leviathan hydra, who arose from the sea and traveled inland towards the main battlefield. It did no less than halve the Demon Horde's forces, on its own entirely, before being felled and crashing to the land in a giant pool or scalding seawater. Legend has it the beast was resurrected deep within the ocean under the Crescent Isles, where it awaits the call of its masters the Pyscani.
