Sono is a bit of an odd one, to say the least. Having a demon for a headmate can do that to you.
The general consensus is that they just showed up one day, although to be fair that’s not exactly an uncommon entrance in Sornieth. It was a cold night and they were only a kid at the time, so no one felt comfortable turning them away even though the mirror they were dragging around gave everyone the heebie jeebies.
No one can say for sure what that mirror’s about or exactly what it can do, but it’s common knowledge that Sono is possessed. At least a little bit, anyway. They do a good job of hiding it, but it’s pretty obvious once you know how to read the signs- keeping odd hours, the suspicious red glint in their eyes, an aversion to holy symbols and relics, the list goes on- but it’s not like they’re dangerous, so no one particularly minds.
In fact, they’re pretty friendly for a husk puppeted by a being from the netherworld. They’re kind and obliging and generally neighborly, and they’ve even managed to make a couple of friends. As far as anyone can tell all they want is a relatively normal life, just like everyone else. Who are we to deny them that?
