Crow has occupied the same room of the Cardinal House since the day the Red Mantles found him at death's and their own door, a tattered wreck of an Imperial. His story was one gathered in written fragments over time, pieced together by conjecture and gossip.

It is believed that he was once a veteran monster hunter, roaming Sornieth in search of trophies and glory. Others claim he was a mercenary, fighting at the behest of the highest bidder. What is known is that he was one of a team and that, on one terrible day, they met their match. This much is known because of the manner in which they found him: torn and broken beside the remains of a six-headed Emperor.

How the monstrosity formed and how he overcame it is anyone's guess; Crow is silent on the matter, for his last battle cost him his voice. But in the clumsy scrawl of his one working arm, he has recounted how he hunted and was hunted by the creature across the length of Sornieth; how, in a single lapse of judgment, he waited too long to turn upon his foe; how, in his exhausted state, he was all but destroyed by the twisted monstrosity that had been his comrades.

He claims his golden years are over; and indeed, his spirit seems all but extinguished in his wreck of a body. But in spite of his fallen state, Crow has never forgotten his debt to the Cardinal House. When a threat looms in the territory, the Imperial takes once more to the battlefield, shielding allies and crippling foes with a clinical precision that reflects a fragment of the Imperial he must once have been.
