He didn't wait a moment to tell her of his power and the responsibility that the Shadowbinder had placed on him, quickly offering Blue a place as his second in command and founder of this new clan. Flash knew that this opportunity was the perfect bait to get her on his side and the two were ready to set out within a few days.
Most of the land in this small patch of starting land was a boggy, dense forest bordered on one side by rocky hills and on all other sides by the vast continuing forest. The two started expanding the clan fast, building a small sap home in the trees and laying their first nest on the same day the arrived. Using Flash's power, soon many dragons were brought to this new place and the building started in earnest. The larger dragons and magic users began carving out a large cave system under the ground to be the main clan city. This rapidly evolved into a network of tunnels with caves branching off as shops, homes, and public spaces such as libraries and the dining hall. dragon and hatchling, encompassing their entire lives- every flight to visit a friend, every dragon that they met on any single day, every insect or plant that they would ever eat- all of it accessible inside of FlashSentry's mind at every moment. dragon's duties and step in before any problems ever arose. As far as the clan was concerned, Flash gave over all power to CharmCaster and FlashSentry quickly allowed his mental state to pull him out of the limelight. The two made it seem to everyone that she was now and forevermore the true leader of the clan, but knowing the use of his power to the clan Flash quietly kept his authority over the clan through CharmCaster who was a practical dragoness and trusted in his power too much to ever ignore his words.
to it- some days he will spend all of his time moving around shelves in the library, other days he jumps from random act to random act with no explanation, just doing simple things to eventually ripple throughout the clan's future. Only a select few dragons still remember how he grew the clan into what it is, and even some of them are growing to doubt that he hasn't truly gone mad. The blessing that the great Shadowbinder had given to one of her children has birthed a powerful clan that brings her glory and servants, but it has also become a curse to the one so blessed with no way for him to escape from this fate outside of abandoning the clan that is his lives work.
