Empire of Death: Clan of Death

Kronos, despite his dark name, is actually a good dragon. As a hatchling his bright colors in such a dark world bothered him but now that he's grown he enjoys the speck of light he brings to this clan, some members even mistake him for a Wind or Light flight dragon until they see his Shadow flight eyes. Cerberus seemed to like him too, because soon after he grew up the leader took Kronos under his wings and helped give him some special training.

At first Kronos was constantly getting injured, unable to dodge as well as the other dragons he trained with, and he thought about giving up. With a little more help though he was back on his feet and once again rapidly learning how to hold his own. Now he can hit a Beastclan warrior with ease, though he has taken a preference to taking enemy attacks head on rather than dodging, and he hopes to become even stronger than he has already become.

He soon became mates with the assistant healer, Rhea, after all the times he needed treatment for his injuries. Kronos was proud of the important roles they both had: him with being part of the Royal Guard for the clan leader and his mate helping to heal wounded dragons. They even had a nest, though, their children were all deceased soon after they grew up. Still, the pair stuck together and mourned their loss. Kronos had seen a lot of death considering his duty but it wasn't the same when it was kin.

Eventually, Kronos grew distant and focused on his duties rather than his mate. He loved Rhea but despite her claim that they could try to have another nest of hatchlings- that would hopefully survive- he couldn't bring himself to agree to it. Soon after, Rhea began preparations to take her leave. She was fragile and weakened by her losses but Kronos still didn't change his mind and continued to ignore her. It wasn't long after that his ex-mate was found dead not far from the clan. She hadn't even made it out of the territory before her wings gave out and sent her crashing. A scout group found her but the healers they took back after finding the body said she had died before hitting the ground. There hadn't been any pain that the broken bones would normally cause.

Kronos merely looked on. He blamed himself deep down despite trying to tell himself that it had been Rhea's own fault for leaving while she was so weak. He soon became absorbed in his duties and rarely spoke to others unless it was to give a command or respond to a question. He recovered with time but the spark that he'd had his entire life seemed duller. His attacks grew fiercer and his injuries were deep whenever he'd get back from fighting but the pain seemed nonexistent. He was alive and still cared about his clan mates but not in the same way he once had.
