Forever a Wanderer He was never one for staying in one place. Ever since he hatched, ever since he found out that... there was no one for him... He never saw the point of staying in place. So he wandered the Plaguelands, and he came upon a Mirror, a lone female... He wasn't sure why a Mirror would be alone. He approached her, wings held tight to his back, trying to make it seem as if he were smaller than he actually was. That he wouldn't hurt her. "Hello, ma'am. I don't suppose there is anyone around waiting for you, hm?" he questioned, flashing a toothy grin. "Not that I know of. I'm pretty sure I've been alone ever since I was a hatchling." she returned, circling him ever so slowly. And as he settled to the ground, she saw the tint in his eyes, knowing they were both from the Plaguelands, and that... if he were from this land of sickness and rot, he couldn't truly be that bad. "I am the very same. I do not remember any parents, nor do I truly see a point in staying in one spot. Being rooted simply seems... silly." the Guardian mused. "I am sure there is some point where I will want to stay in one place. But I cannot see that happening any time soon." The Mirror was silent. She was taking in his scent, her teeth bared. She was untrusting by nature, but something about this male made her feel... safe. "If you would like, we can travel together. Mirrors such as yourself usually stick in packs... I am not sure about many of my kind, as there don't seem to be many around here." "Guardians are usually in oceans, from what I've heard... but I wouldn't mind a traveling companion..." And so the two set off, not knowing what they would come upon... It was only a matter of time until they created a clan of their own. 
Olixan had perished serving under his deity. He had lost his life, but it seems that in his wishes for life, he not only survived, but created a duplicate of himself. When he returned to Mycarin, he was surprised to see that his duplicate had made it back before he had. But he was not hostile. The two males are no different in anything other than size. The Plague-born Olixan is just a bit larger than his Fire-eyed companion, though the Fire-born Guardian has a larger wingspan. Nevertheless, the two males are one and the same. They care for any hatchlings that are born together with their mates, and it seems that Arixstahle is more than grateful to have not one, but two of the only being he'd ever seen as a father. Together, it's clear that the two Olixans, and Arixstahle, will run this clan as best as they can. But it is not just up to them. It is up to everyone within the clan to help keep things civil and happy. It seems they're doing their job just fine thus far. |
