It started with the one on his neck – a small red wound he chose to ignore. There was nothing strange about boil or a cut suddenly appearing while in the Plaugelands. Arianna then reminded him they weren't in the Plaugelands and urged him to see a healer.

Four weeks and several more red spots later, he now stood facing a very irritated mate and a questionable 'healer'.

The healer was prodding the crystalized spots and mumbling to himself. “I've seen something like this before...can't remember where. What do we call these, bloodstones? No no no... any Earth scholar would contest the name.
