Can you see the colors of magic?
EmeraldSky never believed much in futures read from cards or runes, or that the stars held secrets in their paths. They were props. Great for those who needed a crutch, or parlor tricks, but useless to him.
Magic spoke to him. Whispering from the rocks, and trees, and grass. The soft susurrus from the lives of Sornieth's myriad creatures. The earth breathes, and he breathes with it, each breath filled with life and energy that keeps him eternally youthful.
He had simply appeared one day, on the tail end of a wind, and never left. He spends many hours talking with Alto, the botanist, and keeps his own private garden that no other dragon is allowed to enter. What plants lie within, he never says, but the thorny hedges which make up its borders speak little of benignity.
He'd taken a brief interest in Foxfire, the two entering a brief but fenetic courtship, resulting in the birth of Heliox, though they have since parted, with him retreating to the wilder edges of the territory. (And dodging Alto, the clan botanist who has been tirelessly seeking his knowledge and advice on cataloging the new discoveries from the Blooming Groves)
