There are two things in life Heket has devoted her life to. The first being the clan’s hatchlings and the second being her mate Phobetor. Both of these devotions tend to make her moody and high strung around others.

Visitors are often warned to stay away from the nesting grounds. Heket has built her home in the middle of it so that she may watch over all the eggs and hatchlings. Trespassers are rarely given a warning from her. Despite her devotion to mothering the clan’s young, she does refuses to have her own. She will not confide in anyone about the reasons why for fear they may think she is unbalanced. This includes her mate.






 		Heket and Phobetor have a rocky relationship. Every so often, she leaves him and will stay apart from him for months on end only to be drawn back into his lair. Several members have tried to help her break it off permanently but it never lasts. She is like a moth to a flame when it comes to him and will fly into a jealous rage when other females appear to be interested, despite her various relationships with others.
