B I O G R A P H Y

Oozing with blood and far worse, this dragon was named after a night so bloody that claws and maws were not the only things dyed red. The moon itself reflected the pools of blood and those same reflections can be seen in Redmoon’s eyes should one be unfortunate enough to be close enough for it. He is fearsome by no means. No chipped sword or piercing daggers can be found near him, yet no dragon will venture anywhere near him despite the lack of any physical threat. Perhaps that is the problem with him. He doesn't need to use force.

What is so foreboding about him may be the lingering iron fetor that hangs around his bloody wrappings. It may be the whisper of sound that rolls out from underneath his birdskull mask, barely audible to all but the most careful of listeners. It may be the uncertainty of what motivates him, of what moves this idle and eerie dragon to act. It may be that between the muted voice and uncertainty about him, that dragons are compelled to inch towards him despite knowing that being anywhere near him, nonetheless touching him, could kill them in hours.

Redmoon is not a normal dragon. Those bandages and bones are not for show. Omnipotent sores crawl across his body, and at times the bandages can be more virulent than the gemlike scabs and sores that are scattered across his body and wings. He is an Alpha Vector for the deadliest of Plaguebringer’s brew. One could consider him gifted by disease’s deity, for the hollow ring of bone chimes means that the time has come to 'visit' the hatchlings. Infections burn through their systems in hours and several Fae have died with each wave of illness for the past five seasons. This systematic and intentional infection on those who are too young to even fly has branded him a zealot of Plague.

Almost all dragons make every attempt to avoid him, as even those who have tried to get close could never tell if he was planning to kill them or offer them tea, or to offer them tea that would kill them. The only dragon, who got close to him and survived more than a season, has been Hel. The persistent Guardian took him as her charge and mate, even proving that she could survive all and any disease that he can afflict her with.
