Elymas' son, Iskios, still lives with him in the shrouded lair of trees. He's even his apprentice, although he is researching dark magic. His daughter Arancia however, left to research Ice magic. He is very proud of them both. He found his mate Velena after going to her home forest in order to search for a Nature tome, and ended up bringing her to his home at the Focal Point. In an effort to produce purely magical offspring, he sold any of his children who didn't have enough potency - or he had them exalted to the Arcanist. Iskios and Arancia are the only ones who had potent enough magic for him to remain in contact with them, and even then he rarely ever sees his daughter.

Upon realizing he was seduced by the clan's wanderer, Iskios went off to serve the Icewarden in despair. Elymas, falling into deep regret, longs for his son to return home. In revenge, Elymas forced the seducer Neta out of the clan, saying she tore his son away from him.
