Tsugahara seems somewhat distant and cranky to the others. Yet, most of it is just in his looks. He truly is caring and in fact very affectionate. But he prefers to hide it so no enemy could see through it and use it against him. He is the one who always fixes what Kamikage causes. He's a strong and powerful samurai, thus being the clan commander, leaving his brothers as vice-commanders.
He now has married the Princess Mihiko and has three children. Though he was forced to adopt three daughters, due to one woman claiming they were his. Despite it being false, Mihiko accepted the girls as her daughters and claimed the woman to be a thief. Now the girls moved away and lived in different clans.
