Biography
Perrin
Strider
Strider
|
(bio under construction) Perrin was born on the outskirts of Dryskardia to a pair of nomadic dragons that happened to be passing through the clan during their travels. Shortly after his birth, his parents disappeared. (or: Parents were travelers passing through and when they realized their hatchling was a strider, they decided (after consulting with Ashenstone) to leave him in the clan where he'd have more protection than just two mostly-untrained parents.) Ashenstone wasn't entirely sure how to handle the situation. She knew of the Wandering Princess of Nature, and had heard that more and more striders were beginning to survive in certain nature clans and even, sometimes, in small clans of their own; but no strider had ever been seen near Dryskardian territory before. _____(some dragons think it's too dangerous to keep the strider around)_____ (trouble with Ravenhelm?) Ashenstone was more than willing to allow the hatchling to stay in Dryskardia for as long as he liked, but she agreed with _____ (didn't know how dangerous it was, would they be putting the clan in danger from the shadows, how does one raise a strider hatchling, etc.) Aria came from Iron Oak to teach him things (probably Ashenstone was responsible for getting word out to other nature clans about the strider) When Aria arrived Perrin was kind of depressed. Aria taught him all of the Strider history, bla bla bla, insert some sort of cheesy quote about "survival runs in our veins", bla bla bla Perrin has a gift for wayfinding, good sense of direction/mental map/memory of routes and locations The striders stay in a denser part of the forest than most of the clan. They hang out with a lot of the druids and tree dragons but don't see the flight reps or other dragons much. Ravenhelm might be an issue? Maybe something happened initially where he was like "eew, a strider, kill it!" (not necessarily wanting to kill Perrin, but feeling uncomfortable with him in the clan or not wanting him around) and Ashenstone was like "shut up and deal with it" and he was like "fine..." probably with the help of Morgana since she's kind of the nature/shadow crossover dragon of the clan. Parents were wizards and may have left him with some sort of warding spell Perrin has good magic skills and is one of the first seekers to focus on using magic to muffle their steps, keep them invisible, create distractions, change the wind, etc Now, Hesperus and Ceridwen (an older couple) have moved to an outpost deep in the woods along a little-known route to watch over a waypoint for striders being hidden and smuggled to and from clans. They help the seekers with stuff. Not necessarily for Perrin, unless he ends up as a nomadic loner type for some reason, but one of the striders should have this theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5tZB1RVh7M "He will ride across land and time To find a way through this endless night There's a storm in his heart And the fire burns his soul But the wanderer's part is to ride alone" also use this: |
